Sugarbush Farm in Woodstock, Vermont – A Great Vacation and Travel Destination

In case you are not familiar with the Sugarbush Farm, they are famous for making great tasting, high quality cheeses as well as maple syrup products. I was very lucky as a child do to the fact that my family had a farm, where my Dad made a living from milking cows, selling cattle and other things that farmers do to survive and provide for their family. It is a very hard way to make a living, and sadly today most of the family farms are either gone or struggling to survive. Anyway, I had the enjoyment of being able to be around milk cows, chickens, pigs and other animals for the majority of my childhood right up until around age 14 or so, when my Dad decided to sell our family farm.The Sugarbush Farm is open year around to the public, and each time of the year offers a different experience for visitors. There are many different areas and numerous things to see and do while you visit, for instance you can see how Vermont maple syrup and maple syrups products such as maple candy, and more, are made. Depending upon the time of the year you visit, you can even walk along a trail, to see some of the actual maple trees, that are tapped, and are being used to gather sap from, which is later turned into the maple syrup. If you visit at a time when they are not gathering sap from the maple trees, you can still see how the entire process works through a video and a hands on tour through the sugar-house.In the Cheese area, you can actually see how the delicious Sugarbush Farm cheese is made and prepared for storage and shipping. In the Farm Store, you can enjoy samples of the different cheeses, maple syrup, and even jams, spreads and more. There are numerous gifts, and wonderful treats to buy for your family, friends and yourself in the Farm Store.Adults and children that visit the Sugarbush Farm, will have a great time actually meeting some of the farm animals that live there, such as; milk cows, and depending upon the time of the year, baby cows (calves), chickens, goats, and other animals, including some amazing Belgian draft horses, that are actually used to help in transporting the sap from the maple trees.The Sugarbush Farm in Woodstock, Vermont, is a place that everyone should place on their list of the top places to visit in America.  Longfarms
